Lorenzo Piacevoli is an Italian visual artist and photographer based in Rome.
His practice operates at the intersection of artistic research and commercial production, challenging the traditional distinction between the two. From this position emerges a constantly evolving visual language that employs photography as a tool for observing, constructing, and analyzing reality.
His research investigates the ways in which desire, value systems, and relational structures shape contemporary experience. Recurring themes in his work include the crisis of contemporary values and its environmental implications, sexuality as a form of immediate gratification, and the invisible architectures that govern human relationships.
Central to his inquiry is fantasy, understood not as a form of escapism but as a social device capable of producing reality. Imagination is conceived as a potentially infinite space of projection and design—a collective system within which individuals, desires, and narratives continuously contribute to the construction of the world they inhabit.
